DO I NEED ANY PARTICULAR EXPERIENCE BEFORE ATTENDING thAcademy?

thAcademy is intended for students who are already experienced in a particular creative discipline and who hope to make that creative discipline their career. While no particular experience of any kind is required, at least an intermediate level of experience in a particular creative discipline is highly recommended.

HOW BIG ARE YOUR CLASSES?

thAcademy is taught entirely one-to-one. In order to maintain this level of engagement, thAcademy is only able to accept 3 students for each cohort, with a new cohort beginning every six weeks. 

WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE SIX-WEEK CURRICULUM?

Because thAcademy is taught one-on-one, thChrch faculty will arrange an individualized schedule with each student after they have been accepted.

CAN I ATTEND thAcademy IF I ALSO HAVE A PART-TIME JOB?

Yes. thAcademy is taught on an individualized schedule with each student. Additionally, students are provided maximum time throughout the day to either work a part-time job, or engage full time at thChrch in their own creative projects.

DO I NEED TO BUY ANYTHING OR BRING ANYTHING WITH ME?

Students will need access to their own laptop computer in order to complete the necessary activities and lessons.

DO YOU HELP STUDENTS FIND JOBS AFTER COMPLETING THE CLASS?

We cannot guarantee that our students will jobs after completing thAcademy. The creative industry is a business, and success in any creative industry will require a mix of talent, connections, and perseverance.

thChrch believes that business education and creativity go hand-in-hand. thChrch itself is an environment that encourages creativity and entrepreneurship through the culture of music, art, and film. You will meet a lot of people at thChrch, and you'll find that as you step outside of yourself and engage others, the opportunities for work are always within reach.

DO YOU OFFER FINANCIAL AID OR SCHOLARSHIPS?

We do not currently have any allocated funds for needs- or merit-based scholarships. If a student is accepted to thAcademy and is in need of financial assistance, thChrch will actively work to find a local sponsor to cover the cost of the student's tuition, however, we cannot guarantee any funding or financial assistance to any students at this time.

IS MY TUITION REFUNDABLE?

Tuition is non-refundable once paid.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS FOR TUITION?

Due to time constraints and logistical planning, we are unable to provide any payment plans for tuition.

DO ANY OF THE WORKSHOPS COUNT FOR COLLEGE CREDIT?

thAcademy is unaffiliated with any university or educational institution. All workshops are intended to provide real-life experience through hands-on learning, however, none of our workshops count for college credits.
